Using AI For Generational Messaging

I was working with a client a few days ago, explaining the importance of using the lingo of their ideal customer so their messaging would convert.

Speaking in the same language and slang as the customers you’re trying to reach makes them feel seen, comfortable, and more likely to buy, even if they’re unaware of why.

Sometimes, you’re not the same generation as your target audience and don’t naturally speak their “dialect”.

This is where AI can be incredibly helpful.

To demonstrate this to my clients, I took the facts about their festival:

A campout-style event blending music, nature, and community.

And asked ChatGPT to say it like a boomer:

“Join us for a good old-fashioned campout—live music, the great outdoors, and friendly folks coming together for some real community fun. Just like the good ol’ days!”

Then Gen-X:

“Picture this: a laid-back campout with live music, nature, and real connection—no fluff, just good vibes, great tunes, and people who actually get it.”

And Millennial:

“Think camp vibes meets killer live music, nature hangs, and an epic community mashup. Unplug, unwind, and make memories—because good times and great tunes never go out of style.”

Then Gen-Z:

“Lowkey the ultimate vibe: live music, nature, and a whole squad of cool people. Think cozy campfire feels, bangers playing, and zero cringe—just pure ✨community energy✨.”

You might not naturally speak the language of your ideal client, but ChatGPT does.

When you use AI to translate your copy into the language of your ideal customer, you dramatically improve the impact of your messaging AND learn the cadence, slang, and phrasing for future use yourself.

Better AI, Everyone (only Kiwis of a certain age will get that)
